Aubrey Peeples was born on November 27, 1993 in Lake Mary, Florida, USA to parents Wendy and Ashley. She has a younger sister named Ally.

Growing up, Aubrey performed with the Orlando Repertory Theatre for 10 years. She graduated from Lake Mary Preparatory School, where she was valedictorian of the class of 2012.

Aubrey Peeples was accepted to Harvard University but deferred entry twice, the second time to accept her role on Nashville.

Aubrey landed her first role in TV Movie Ace Ventura, Jr. Pet Detective (2009) and has guest-starred in various TV Shows including Drop Dead Diva, Burn Notice, Austin & Ally, Grey’s Anatomy, and had a recurring role on Necessary Roughness.

In 2013 she had two more TV Movie roles in The Good Mother and Sharknado and later that year she was was in major recurring role as Layla Grant, (a runner-up in a reality singing competition, and rising star) in the second season of the ABC drama series Nashville.

In 2014, Aubrey co-starred in the crime thriller Rage opposite Nicolas Cage.

In 2014, she was cast as lead character in the upcoming romantic musical fantasy comedy-drama film Jem and the Holograms, based on the 1980s hit television show of the same name.
